1. With Spot Pet Insurance plans, you can get your dog or cat’s exam fees for eligible conditions covered.
We’re committed to helping ensure that your pet gets the care they need when they need it — which is why you can rest assured that exam fees and vet visits for eligible conditions are covered by pet insurance plans provided by Spot.
2. Spot covers Rx foods and supplements used to treat eligible conditions
Both Spot plans and Healthy Paws plans cover prescription medications used to treat covered conditions, but Healthy Paws plans do not cover Rx foods or supplements used to treat covered conditions. Spot Pet Insurance offers an optional preventive care add-on that can be used to cover the routine veterinary costs that come with having a pet. Annual wellness exams, dental cleanings, vaccinations, and other services can be covered under a preventive care add-on. Healthy Paws does not offer preventive care coverage.
4. Spot plans cover behavioral problems.
Spot Pet Insurance accident & illness plans include coverage for behavioral problems.
5. If you enroll more than one pet, you get a discount with Spot Plans.
Unlike Healthy Paws plans, if you add on more than one pet in your family, you will be able to get a multi-pet discount. Spot Pet Insurance plans provide a 10 percent multi-pet discount for all additional pets.

I’ve had spot on my 3 dogs and it’s helped me two times already. Back in 2024 my Stella crossed over the rainbow. This year in march my Rubie got sick. I called spot to put medical on my 3 girls and didn’t realise I already had the plan. I would recommend spot to many of my pet friends. Thank you

No hassle, great communication
Relatively timely claim approval
I've had Spot for two years for my four-year-old dog. During this time, I submitted three claims for three separate incidences/illnesses, and all three were approved in about 2 weeks. The funds were reimbursed soon thereafter. I am glad I signed up for Spot while she was young and did not have any pre-existing conditions.
