Spot covers Rx foods and supplements used to treat eligible conditions

Both Spot plans and Healthy Paws plans cover prescription medications used to treat covered conditions, but Healthy Paws plans do not cover Rx foods or supplements used to treat covered conditions. Plans provided by Spot cover Rx foods and supplements used to treat eligible conditions (as long as a food or supplement is prescribed to treat an eligible condition and not for general health or weight maintenance).

Healthy Paws Won't Enroll New Pets After Age 14. Spot Has No Upper Age Limit.

If your dog or cat is 14 or older, Healthy Paws won't offer a new policy. Spot has no upper age limit — pets can enroll at any age, as long as they're at least eight weeks old.

If you enroll more than one pet, you get a discount with Spot Plans.

Unlike Healthy Paws plans, if you add on more than one pet in your family, you will be able to get a multi-pet discount. Spot Pet Insurance plans provide a 10 percent multi-pet discount for all additional pets.
