Reimbursements are real!
I submitted my vet bills and within 10 days or so I got an update on my account balances. Once deductible was met, I began getting reimbursements directly deposited! I never had pet insurance before, but im so glad I got this insurance for my dog now that he needs surgery.

Spot got the payment for my dog's…
Spot got the payment for my dog's emergency three weeks after the incident. He was bitten by a copperhead and wouldn't have survived without antivenom and several other drugs. I am very happy with their service.

Snoopy - 14 year old Shit Tzu
Snoopy was a 14 year old Shit Tzu, the star of our family. Suddenly, his hind legs wouldn't support him and he was rushed to Urgent Care and they recommended that he had to go to Emergency Care and get a Spinal Decompression Surgery. Also, this moved so fast that in a couple of days, his surgery was complete he was on his way to recovery. That was the first time I informed Spot Pet Insurance about this issue and submitted claims. All claims were reviewed and promptly approved. This has been a wonderful experience with Spot Insurance even though we couldn't even give them a heads-up of this major issue. Thank you for standing up for Snoopy even though he was a 14 year old. Unfortunately, Snoopy made good recovery for a couple of weeks after surgery, even got his stiches off but developed other complications with Pancreas and Liver and he passed away peacefully today. We wish Spot Insurance the very best and thank you for being there for Snoopy until the very end.

How Much is Kitten Insurance?
Spot puppy insurance plans start as low as $9 per month^^.
Is Pet Insurance Necessary for a Kitten?
While it is not mandatory to insure your kitten, enrolling in a Spot plan can offer additional peace of mind for pet parents by providing reimbursements of up to 90% toward the cost of unexpected vet bills. Spot offers both accident and illness and accident-only plans, and can also help cover the cost of routine veterinary services with the addition of a preventative care add-on.
Is Kitten Insurance Worth it?
Yes, kitten insurance can be worth it for many reasons. With a kitten insurance plan from Spot, pet parents can get up to 90% cash back on covered vet bills, helping manage the cost of unexpected vet care over time, especially as your pet ages. Enrolling your kitten early can also help avoid pre-existing conditions that can develop as your pet ages.
At What Age Should You Get Cat Insurance?
The sooner the better! Enrolling your cat in a Spot plan while they are still young will help decrease their chance of developing a health condition that will then be considered pre-existing under their insurance plan. Spot is happy to insure kittens as young as 8 weeks old.
How Often Do Kitten Need to Go to the Vet?
In the first four months of their lives, kittens should be seen by their veterinarians once every 3 - 4 weeks to receive vaccinations and wellness exams. These visits help to protect your kitten against diseases and help you veterinarian to better identify your kittens needs.1

Is Kitten Insurance More Expensive for Certain Breeds?
Pet insurance premiums can vary based on several factors; the pet’s age, breed, location, as well as the coverage selected for your plan, and your chosen deductible and annual limit. Insurance providers take breed into account because different breeds can be prone to different health conditions. Premiums may also change if you have multiple pets, and are able to receive a multi-pet discount.
