'Fur babies' star in a heartwarming new commercial from America's favorite pet insurance

MIAMI, April 29, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Spot Pet Insurance is embracing a growing cultural shift in its latest national commercial, a humorous and heartfelt nod to millennials who now view their pets as children. The 30-second spot, titled "Fur Baby," draws playful parallels to new parenthood.

Of those, 7 in 10 say they see their pets as "fur babies" — family members deserving the level of care, attention, and protection as a child.

In the ad, the new "dog mom" rocks in a nursery-style chair, venting over the phone about sleepless nights and expensive medical visits — only to reveal she's talking about her puppy, not a baby.
