I am so glad I got Spot Pet Insurance for my cat. Most of my claims have been for wellness. I purchased the Gold plan with 10,000 dollar limit and 90% reimbursement with the $250. deductible. I didn’t think I would need it for anything illness until recently. Spot paid the emergency visits which were in the thousands. If you are considering this for an older cat get it! Worth every monthly payment.

I have been amazed at how quickly my claims are processed. Over a six week period I spent more than $1400 at the vet on my two dogs. Every claim has been processed in a matter of days, not weeks. What can a Spot plan cover?
Spot offers Accident-Only and Accident & Illness pet insurance plans, which can be customized with a range of reimbursement rates, annual limit, and deductible options. In addition, Spot plans offer an unlimited annual limit option, no per incident caps, and no lifetime caps.

Do Spot Pet Insurance plans cover exam fees?
Exam fees for eligible conditions are covered under Spot’s accident-only and accident & illness base plans. Pet parents who also want cash back on annual wellness exams should opt into Spot’s optional preventive care add-ons. This coverage can be added to your base plan for a small fee.
Can my pet insurance plan help me get cash back on routine teeth cleanings?
Base level plans do not cover the cost of routine teeth cleanings. In order to get cash back on this type of service, you’ll need to add preventive care coverage to your pet’s policy. This can be added to a base plan for a small monthly fee.
What is the ideal age for enrolling my pet in pet insurance?
Spot pet insurance plans can cover puppies and kittens 8 weeks and older. We recommend all pets be insured at a young age, before they develop a “pre-existing condition” before they’re insured. Spot also has no upper age limits for new enrollments and your pet will never age out of our coverage.
How can I tell if my pet has a condition that is “pre-existing”?
A pre-existing condition is an injury or illness that first displayed symptoms or occurred before coverage for a policy begins, or during the policy waiting period. A condition can be pre-existing even if it has not been officially diagnosed or treated. All that matters for this qualification is when the injury or illness first occurred or started to show symptoms.
