OFFICIAL RULES SPOT PET INSURANCE SERVICES, LLC AMERICAN LEGION SWAG CONTEST

These are the Official Rules for the Spot® Pet American Legion Swag Contest. The Contest is sponsored by Spot Pet Insurance Services, LLC ("Spot"), 100 Biscayne Blvd., Suite 400, Miami, FL 33132.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Making a purchase will not increase the odds of winning.

1. Eligibility

1.1. Open to Legal Residents of Certain States. The Promotion is open to legal residents in all states excluding Washington District of Columbia. To participate, the residents must be: (a) 18 years of age or have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry, whichever is greater, and (b) legally able to work in the United States. No purchase is necessary.

1.2. Spot Excluded. Employees and agents of Spot, are eligible to enter the Contest, but may cannot win any category in the Contest.

1.3. No Other Sponsorship. The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any other company other than Spot Pet Insurance Services, LLC.

2. How to Enter

2.1. Promotion Period.

The Contest will start [date] and end on 06/30/26. There will be one winner selected at the end of the Contest.

2.2. Entry.

A. During the Contest Period, applicants must submit a photo of their dog or cat. The photo must be clear, good quality to the viewer and must meet the photo size requirements of 1080 × 1080 (square) or 1920 × 1080 (portrait). As a part of the entry, you must email your photo to petspress@spotpet.com with your name, your pet’s name, and “American Legion” for this Contest within the Contest Period to be considered for the contest and be eligible to enter. No purchase or quote necessary. Limit one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period.

Entry constitutes consent to participate in the Contest and for Spot to obtain, use, and transfer the entrant's photo and/or video for Contest administration purposes. By participating in the Contest and/or accepting any prize, entrants grant Spot permission to use their name, likenesses, and image in connection with the Contest or other marketing materials for purposes of advertising, publicity, and promotion purposes, without further compensation to the entrant, unless prohibited by law.

3. Judging Criteria

Your photo entry, during the Contest Period enters you for a chance to win. Spot will choose one winner from all eligible submissions and notify the winner via email within five business days. If a winner is not eligible or if Spot cannot contact the applicable entrant within 5 business days, such entrant’s prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected. Determining the outcome of the contest is at the sole discretion of the Spot team, who will judge the submissions and select one winner at the end of the Contest Period.

4. Prizes

4.1 Prizes. The winner will win a Spot Swag Box valued at $25.The Spot Swag Box will contain Spot branded merch such as water bowl, tennis ball, bandana, stress ball, poop bag, and dog toy. Note, items may be subject to change based on availability but will remain within the $25 value. In addition, a $25 gift card will be given to the winner. Only one prize allowed during the Contest period.

4.2 Expenses and Taxes. Prize winners are responsible for any expenses incurred in connection with the prize. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted, except that Spot reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if an offered prize is unavailable. All federal, state, and local taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize details not set forth herein are the sole discretion of Spot.

4.3 Legal Documents. If requested, winners must execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and (where legal) publicity release within three days of notification. Failure to do so may result in disqualification or forfeiture of the prize and the prize awarded to an alternate entrant.

5. General Rules

5.1. Applicable Laws. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply. The Contest is void where prohibited by law. Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the judges' decisions, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest.

5.2. No Responsibility. Spot, and each of its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent corporations, and their respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, and agents, are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, theft, tampering, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries; printing or other errors; and any entries or delivery of prizes which are late, lost, delayed, incomplete, misdirected, stolen, mutilated, illegible, postage-due, or any combination of the above.

5.3. Spot's Rights. Spot can void any entrant's entry who it believes has attempted to tamper with or impair the Contest administration, security, fairness, or proper play. Spot reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest if necessary due to circumstances beyond Spot's control. If the Contest is terminated early, the judges will select the winner from all eligible entries received at the time of termination.

6. Governing Law and Disputes

6.1. Governing Law. This Promotion is governed by and subject to the laws of the United States and the state of Florida without giving effect to the conflict of laws rules thereof.

6.2. Disputes. Except where prohibited, the entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and all claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Contest or any prize awarded, or the determination of winner shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages or any other damages, including attorneys' fees. Each entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

6.3 Limitation of Liability: Entry into this Contest constitutes an agreement to release and hold harmless Spot and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages that may occur, directly or indirectly from participation in the Contest. Additionally, Spot is not liable for any 1) winner accepting, possessing, using, or misusing of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; 2) any type of technical failure in the Contest; 3) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or internet service; 4) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; 5) electronic error or human error in the Contest administration or the processing of entries.
