Is There Dog Insurance that Covers Dental?
Yes, there is dog insurance that can help cover eligible dental care, and Spot offers some excellent plan options. Spot's pet insurance plans include coverage for unexpected dental illnesses and injuries, helping to ensure your dog receives the necessary care for their oral health. This can encompass a range of treatments, such as extractions or treatment for periodontal disease. By opting for a Spot insurance plan, pet owners can help protect their dog’s overall health and well-being, as well as help minimize the high costs associated with dental care.
What Can be Included in Dental Coverage for Dogs?
Different dog insurance plans may cover various aspects of dental care, tailored to meet the specific needs of pet owners. For instance, Spot's accident-only plan can cover dental extractions if they are necessary due to an accident, helping ensure that your dog receives urgent care when unexpected incidents occur. On the other hand, the accident and illness plan extends this coverage to include extractions and treatment for certain dental diseases, such as periodontal disease or tooth infections, helping to offer a more comprehensive approach to your dog's dental health. Additionally, Spot offers preventive care add-ons that can help cover routine dental cleanings, helping to maintain your dog's oral hygiene and prevent potential issues before they arise.

Is Dog Teeth Cleaning Insurance Worth It?
As mentioned above, Spot’s preventive care add-ons can help cover the eligible costs of your dog’s routine teeth cleaning. Making sure that your dog’s oral health is good can work towards helping them lead a better life. Regular dental cleanings can be essential to help prevent plaque and tartar buildup. Additionally, maintaining your dog's dental health can contribute to their general well-being, helping prevent complications such as difficulty eating, pain, and even systemic infections that can affect other organs.1

I have been with Spot for more than 3…
I have been with Spot for more than 3 years. Last year, my dog Akira fell ill a few times, and I submitted a claim each time; all of them were approved.
Excellent pet insurance
I've now insured 4 cats through Spot. When I starting buying insurance for our current two 1-1/2 year old brothers as a precaution when they were still kittens, one of the cats unexpectedly developed some chronic health issues that have already nearly cost $2,000. As with all of our other pets, Spot has reimbursed me for the expenses promptly and without any administrative back-and-forth. I cannot recommend them enough.
Spot has met all expectations
Spot has met all expectations in regards to reimbursement and timeliness. I would highly recommend this company.
Ease of making claims
Ease of making claims; responsiveness and overall service.
Spot is affordable, flexible, and no hidden strings
Spot pet insurance is much more affordable than some of the other options out there, while offering a high quality product that has flexible options to meet the exact plan you want. Pros: - You can essentially create your own plan by choosing your own deductible and reimbursement percentage to get to a monthly premium that you're comfortable with. - The preventative care add on is something I found helpful since we take our dog in for regular check ups. - I have submitted a few claims already and never had any issues with reimbursement/coverage. You can configure direct deposit, and I've always gotten reimbursement within a week or so of submitting. - The app is easy to use and makes submitting claims very easy as long as you have proper documentation. Cons: - The only con is that they do work on a reimbursement method, meaning that you have to pay out of pocket and submit a claim afterwards to receive reimbursement. This can sometimes be tricky because when the vet is asking if you want to move forward with a treatment, you have to make a decision without having 100% confidence that it will be covered. Spot does have transparent documents that show what is and is not covered, but it can still be stressful to make the decision without 100% confidence. In my experience though, everything that I have expected to be covered was covered.

Timely and fair
Exceptionally clear and timely in their reviews of claims, and eminently fair in their coverage decisions. Best insurance company I've dealt with!
Medical issues concerning pets are…
Medical issues concerning our pets are never easy especially when great expense is involved. It is an emotional time to be weighing the cost of service versus care of your pet. Knowing you have coverage for emergency costs is helpful. It took me months to submit my claim due to the emotional loss of my dog. The process was smooth and I felt compassion from those I spoke to that helped me through the process. Reimbursement was timely and so appreciated.
